Robert Fay, PT, MHSc, OCS, STC, CSCS, Owner of Armonk Physical Therapy and Sports Training is a licensed Physical Therapist, Board Certified Specialist in Orthopedic Physical Therapy, NASMI Certified in Sports Physical Therapy, NSCA Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist, ACSM Certified Fitness Instructor and certified as an Advanced Hip Clinician with The Hospital for Special Surgery. Rob is also a Titleist Performance Certified Fitness Professional.
He is a graduate of Northeastern University’s Physical Therapy program with a Masters degree in Health Science from the University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences.
Rob has over 20 years of clinical experience in orthopedics and sports medicine including working with college and professional athletes. He wrote an exercise column for a local magazine and has lectured at the high school level. Rob is also a former NCAA college football player with an avid interest in golf and skiing.
John Connolly, PT, DPT, CSCS, Partner at Armonk Physical Therapy and Sports Training is a licensed Physical Therapist with a Board Certification as an Orthopedic Specialist in Physical Therapy.
His passion for Sports Medicine and exercise led him to pursue advanced certifications as a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (NSCA) and a Level 1 Sports Performance Coach (USA Weightlifting). At Armonk Physical Therapy and Sports Training, he has dedicated work towards injury prevention, especially ACL injuries amongst young athletes. John is a graduate of the University of Connecticut with a Bachelors of Science degree in Allied Health and holds a Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy from New York Medical College.
Throughout the Doctoral program at New York Medical College, John participated in various clinical experiences including an internship for the United States Navy in which he treated Marines and other Armed Forces members for Orthopedic / Musculoskeletal conditions. John is an enthusiastic sports fan and has spent his whole life playing soccer and basketball including four years as a member of the UConn Men’s Club Soccer Team.
Kristen Briody , M.S., PT, CPI is a NYS licensed Physical Therapist and a Comprehensive Pilates Instructor trained through Balanced Body University. She earned her BA in Psychology from Binghamton University in 1988. While studying there, she took a course in Student Athletic Training and an internship to explore the Physical Therapy profession. She went on to study at Columbia University’s College of Physicians and Surgeons program in Physical Therapy where she earned her Masters of Science in Physical Therapy in 1991.
Kristen’s background includes work in pediatric and orthopedic settings. After a neck injury, she worked with a Pilates instructor and realized what an incredibly powerful tool it would be to merge the benefits of Pilates into her P.T. practice at Armonk P.T. & Sports Training. Individual Pilates sessions on Balanced Body’s Clinincal Reformer / Tower are also available to address post rehab fitness goals, sport specific training, and postural reeducation.
Patrick Williams, PT, DPT, CSCS is a New York state licensed physical therapist, and is the newest member of the Armonk Physical Therapy and Sports Training team. His education includes a Doctorate in Physical Therapy from New York Medical College and a degree in kinesiology from UMass Amherst. Patrick is also a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist through the National Strength and Conditioning Association. Throughout his professional and clinical experience, Patrick has both worked with a wide range of individuals, ranging from pediatrics to division one athletes, weekend warriors to the geriatric population.
Focusing on the individual person and their specific goals, Patrick not only helps to rehabilitate injury and ailments, but emphasizes optimizing human performance and maximal function, with a special interest in wellness and preventative care. Patrick recently developed and will be implementing a Fall Prevention and Balance Training Program. Stemming from his days as a high school wrestler, Patrick enjoys staying physically active and has competed both in powerlifting and various Tough Mudder events and road races. When not in the clinic or gym, Patrick enjoys playing chess, card games, and cooking, and avidly supporting all New England sports teams!
Jacki Bellissimo, PT (photo pending) received her BS in physical education from Manhattan College, where she served as a student athletic trainer and played Division 1 Softball. She earned her Masters of Science in physical Therapy from Columbia University in 1998. After 17 years in a hospital-based setting; serving as chief of physical therapy for 11 years, she now works part time in private practice with special interest in recovery from sports related injuries.
Roxanne Perry OTR, CHT is a licensed Occupational Therapist and certified Hand Therapist. She has over 20 years of clinical experience treating injuries of the upper extremity. Roxanne graduated from the University of Buffalo with a bachelors of science in Occupational Therapy and began working immediately in her specialty field of othopedics. Roxanne has spent a majority of her career working in Manhattan and is fortunate to have worked with many of the top leading hand surgeons. She continues to love what she does and is very happy to be bringing her experience to Armonk Physical Therapy.
Santo Sampino, DC, DABCN, CCSP, MS, RDN, LCN is a Doctor of Chiropractic, Board Certified in Neurology, Certified Sports Physician, Certified Graston practitioner, Registered Dietitian Nutritionist, Licensed Clinical Nutritionist with certification in Weight Management and Botanical Medicine.
Santo is a graduate of SUNY at Stony Brook, Life Chiropractic College and earned his diplomate after completing his neurological residency at Logan College. He later earned his Certification as a Sports Physician thru New York Chiropractic College. He attained his Masters degree in Human Nutrition at University of Bridgeport and entered his clinical residence at St. Joseph’s College in Farmington, CT, where he rotated through Yale medical system, working at Yale, Bridgeport Hospital and Connecticut Children’s Medical Center.
He has over 30 years of experience in nutrition and musculoskeletal care including working with athletes to improve performance.He provides metabolic testing to accurately assess energy expenditure and requirements to assist clients in attaining their fitness and weight loss goals quickly. He holds advance certification in Graston Technique, and is trained in acupressure and active release technique.
Matt Kubel Certified Personal Trainer, Exercise Physiologist has been with Armonk Physical Therapy and Sports Training since January 2005. He is certified by the American College of Sports Medicine and holds a Master’s degree in Exercise Physiology from Queen’s College. Previously, Matt worked in an outpatient rehabilitation setting where he trained a diverse population with a variety of musculoskeletal issues. He also worked in an outpatient cardiac rehabilitation facility prescribing exercise programs for cardiac patients. He believes in applying various training modalities as an integral part of achieving clients goals. Matt is also a former NCAA Division 1 wrestler.
Jon Lichtman, Certified Personal Trainer is a new member to the team of personal trainers. With certifications from the National Academy Of Sports Medicine specializing in corrective exercise. Currently Jon is a student at Lehman college studying Exercise Physiology, working to obtain his Bachelors of Science Degree. Recovering from past injuries, Jon gains a sense of healing by helping others. Jon prides himself in working to find an solution to a problem. Jon has a past experience as a Certified Personal Trainer working in well known gyms throughout Westchester. Jon has served with AmeriCorp. Disaster Relief after hurricane Katrina and has traveled throughout Hawaii working with a organization called Workers Of Organic Farming.
Kelli Colson, Pilates Instructor (photo pending) grew up in the Hudson Valley, and began her movement career in the world of competitive gymnastics. She fell in love with modern dance at Tulane University, and completed her B.F.A in Dance at the University of Utah. Throughout college, she worked privately with a Pilates instructor and was amazed how well it complemented her training as a professional dancer.
Kelli completed her BASI Pilates Certification Program in San Francisco, CA. She loves learning, and continues to take regular advanced education courses that help deepen her knowledge as an instructor. In 2014, she completed advanced courses that focused on Pilates for the Aging Population, Pilates for Injuries and Rehabilitation, and Neurokinetic Therapy.
Kelli spent six years dancing professionally in the Bay Area and also established a thriving Pilates business there. She loves teaching people how to find proper alignment within their bodies, so they can integrate this knowledge into their everyday lives for better health and vitality. Her sessions challenge clients to move as fully as possible, while building strength, flexibility and a deeper awareness of their bodies. She believes that everyone can benefit from Pilates, and enjoys tailoring the repertoire to meet each individual client’s needs and goals. Within a session, any injuries and limitations are considered with care, and the Pilates repertoire is used as a tool for healing and recovery. Kelli is very happy to be apart of the team at Armonk Physical Therapy and Sports Training, and finds joy in creating unique Pilates programs to support each and every client!
